520 Land Rover 101 Forward Control (1972-78)

Land Rover 101 Forward Control (1976) Engine 3528 cc V8 Rover
Originally produced as a gun tractor, it was designed to tow a field gun and carry i ton of ammunition. Designed to be easily transported by air with the cube shape achieved by the positioning of its Rover V8 engine beneath the cab. The 101 is derived from the 101 inch wheelbase.


All of the 101's were built as soft top vehicles although many were later re-bodied as hardtop ambulances or communications vehicles
