The 14th Aviation Expo/China will be held on 21-24 September 2011 at the China National Convention Center, Beijing. This expo is jointly organized by the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC), China Aviation Industry Corporation (AVIC), Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China Ltd. (COMAC), China Aviation Supplies Holding Company, and China Promotion Ltd, Hong Kong, with tremendous support and attention from the China National Ministries and Commissions, China Air Force (CAF), and China Navy.
Since the first event held in 1985, Aviation Expo/China has been held successfully for the past 26 years. With the recovery of the world economy, the global aviation industry is facing a new development opportunity. Through the joint efforts of the Supporters and Organizers, the Aviation Expo/China has invited over 200 reputable foreign and domestic aviation companies including AgustaWestland, Airbus, AMECO, Boeing, Bombardier, EADS, Esterline Corporation, Eurocopter, Hampson Aerospace, Honeywell, IAE, MTU, Pratt & Whitney, Russian Helicopters, SATAIR, Wesco Aircraft , and others.
Pavilions will be coming from France (GIFAS), Italy (ICE), and Russia. The Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin personally signed and issued a document to call on Russian aviation and aerospace companies to form a delegation for participation in this Expo. Reshetnev, a well-known aerospace corporation in Russia, will be attending the Expo for the first time. As the largest professional manufacturer of aircrafts and satellite system in Russia, Reshetnev is eager to accelerate communications between Russia and China to promote cooperation in aerospace, using the Aviation Expo/China as a platform. Once again, Oboronprom and Salut from Russia w! ill be p resent at the Expo with their new-type military and civil aeroengines and new-type helicopters.
During the Expo, Airbus, Boeing, Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China Ltd.(COMAC), and Embraer S.A. will hold sessions for civil aircraft market prediction reporting and various interactive activities (including press conferences and signing ceremonies) on the opening day. After a dozen years, Honeywell is returning to the Aviation Expo/China with world-leading aviation bio-oil science and technology and aviation products. Bombardier will also attend the Expo with large-sized models of its C series.
This Expo will attract more international delegations than attended previous events. The Russian Federal Government and the French Civil Aviation Authority will dispatch delegations of senior leaders to this Expo. The Beijing Embassy of Austria Trade Office, the Association of German Chambers of Industry and Commerce (DIHK), and the Italian Trade Commission will also dispatch senior aviation delegations, consisting of nearly 30 companies, to the Expo.
The 2011 Unmanned Aerial Vehicle System Summit & Exhibition will be held at the same time and place as the 14th Aviation Expo/China. This Exhibition will showcase foreign and domestic unmanned aerial vehicles of multiple types and models.
The 2nd Beijing International Aviation Summit, with the theme of Aviation Finance and Urban Economy, will be held in Conference Room 309 in the China National Convention Center on September 20. Relying on the manufacturing and finance combined concept of aviation development, the Forums aim is to discuss and absorb international experience on management of aviation finance in order to build an aviation finance system that will mesh with Chinas situation. Currently, Forum attendees include such internationally famous companies as U.S. International Lease Finance Corporation (ILFC), U.S. LCI LEASING, Ireland AWAS Leasing, US MAGELLAN GROUP, Japan ITC Helicopter Leasing, PWCC, and Universal Asset Mana! gement. Professional aircraft leasing companies, including AVIC Capital and Qilong Leasing, will also be present at the Forum to interact and communicate with foreign and domestic peers in the aviation and finance circles. At the Forum, the Beijing Tianzhu Free Trade Zone Management Board will release its policies and planning regarding the development of aircraft leasing and supporting service industries in Beijings free trade zone.
To mark the 60th anniversary of Chinas aviation industry, sponsors of previous Aviation Expos, including China Aviation Industry Corporation, Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China Ltd., and China Aviation Supplies Holding Company, will use this Expo venue to report to the country about the great achievements made in Chinas aviation industry over the past 60 years, as a gift to our mother country and its people.
These world famous aviation expositions have driven the development of the local MICE economy while promoting the development of Chinas aviation industry. For this reason, the Aviation Expo/China receives significant attention and support from the Municipal Government of Beijing.
This Expo will last four days. As its usual practice, the first three days (Sep.21-23) will be for professional visitors, with the last day (September 24) open to the public. The Expo is expected to attract 30,000 visitors.
